About Jay: Jay earned his master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in South Florida. He is currently an associate clinical mental health counselor in the state of Utah. He mainly utilizes brief therapy models such as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy approach. His theoretical orientation also lies in Bowenian Family Therapy model based on the systemic view to understand the relationships between individuals’ mental health issues and their situations. He likes to help clients gain insight in therapy. Besides being a clinical practitioner, he is an approved food coordinator and a decent sushi chef.
