Christina Tsoi

Pre-doctoral Psychology Intern
CAPS, SDS

About Christina: Hi! My name is Christina Tsoi and my pronouns are she/her. I’m a third culture/global nomad, mixed-race, cisgender woman who moved to the US when I was 18 years old. My goal as a therapist is to help people have a safe space to process their emotions, thoughts, and experiences in ways that work for them. I take a multicultural and trauma-informed approach using interventions from compassion-focused therapy, internal family systems, and feminist therapies. I do this to foster therapeutic relationships and help people explore their intersecting identities, acknowledge how systems and environments affect their experiences in the world, and empower them to make changes that move them toward healing. When I’m not at work, you can find me in water (kayaking, tubing, scuba diving), attending cultural events, and nerding out about podcasts and documentaries.

People I love and have experience working with:

  • Third Culture/Global Nomads
  • DACA & Undocumented
  • People of Color (Asian, Black, Latin/Hispanic, Indigenous, Polynesian, etc)
  • International Students
  • LGBTQIA+

Clinical interests:

  • Sexual health & trauma
  • Intergenerational trauma

  • Sexual orientation & gender identity
  • Spiritual and faith transitions/concerns
